What can I expect at my consultation?


During your consultation our providers will discuss your aesthetic goals and concerns. From there, they will create a custom treatment plan specifically targeting your areas of concern.




Do I NEED a consultation? I’ve received this treatment before!


Yes! Every NEW patient is required to meet one-on-one with our providers to create a customized treatment plan. It helps us get to know each other!




How much does a consultation cost?


Consultations with our specialized aesthetic providers are complimentary - so there is no fee!




How much do treatments cost?


You will receive customized pricing information for all appropriate treatments and skincare during your consultation as part of your treatment plan.





INJECTABLES / FILLERS

What is Botox, Dysport & Xeomin?


They are neuromodulators that are safe and effective prescription medicines that contain purified proteins . When injected directly into muscles they provide a smoothing effect on moderate to severe dynamic wrinkles that can last up to 4 months.




How long does it last?


The effects from Botox/Dysport/Xeomin will last approximately up to four months. As the muscle movement gradually returns, the lines and wrinkles begin to reappear. That’s when you know the area needs to be treated again.




What is a dermal filler?


Dermal Fillers are used in lines and wrinkles or in areas where volume has been lost through the aging process. They can also be used for lip rejuvenation.




How long does filler last?


There is a vast array of dermal fillers can last between 6 months to 2 years. Based on your goals and medical history, your specialized aesthetic provider will help you choose the dermal filler that is best for you.




Are dermal fillers safe?


Dermal fillers are safe in proffesional hands. It is important to consider a well-trained practitioner, clean environment, use of quality fillers and use of advanced techniques to reduce any risk of injection into blood vessels.




What are the most common complications from the use of dermal fillers


Some people can have a reaction to fillers, but this is extremely rare. Common minor side effects include bruising, redness and swelling which settle within a few days.




Can I go back to work after my injection? Will I be bruised?


Yes, you can return to your daily schedule. There is always a chance of slight bruising for up to two weeks after an injection. Following your post-care instructions and using topical or capsule-form arnica can help with bruising.





LASER HAIR REMOVAL

Is laser hair removal permanent?


No, but laser hair removal will cause hair reduction. You can expect finer, lighter hair. Recommended for pigmented hair.




How many treatments will I need?


You will generally need 4-8 treatments to reach your hair reduction goals. It’s possible you will need future maintenance treatments.




How many IPL/Laser/Microneedling treatments do I need to see my desired results?


This depends on your specific skin type and concerns. As a rule, we recommend at least three treatments to see full results, though most people so see improvement after one treatment. You may require more, depending on what you’re treating. A consultation is the best way to find out how many treatments our specialized Urban Unwind team recommends for your specific complaint.





APPOINTMENT CANCELLATION

What happens if I need to cancel my appointment?


Due to the individualized nature of the services that we offer, our providers prepare treatment rooms and services in advance for each patient. If you are unable to keep an appointment, please let us know at least 24 hours in advance and 48 hours for multiple services and/or packages. We reserve the right to charge for appointments not cancelled within this time frame.





HEALTH CONDITIONS

Are there any health conditions that would prohibit me from getting a service?


Our providers will take into consideration any medical conditions or implanted devices that you may have and determine which procedures are appropriate for you. A medical health history is required with each new patient. Please advise your service provider if you are pregnant, have injuries or recent surgeries. If you are using Retin-A, Accutane or other medications, please inform your provider so that appropriate products and treatments are selected.
