What is FormaV?

FormaV is a safe and non-surgical treatment that serves to improve both the aesthetics and functionality of the vagina.  This treatment delivers targeted and precise bipolar radiofrequency (RF) energy to tighten tissue and stimulate the production of collagen and elastin. The heat and energy produced by the radiofrequency triggers thermal remodeling of the tissue and improves collagen restructuring, which works to improve the strength and integrity of the tissue over time. FormaV can help to improve vaginal and labial elasticity, vaginal tightness, sensitivity, dryness, and symptoms of urinary incontinence.  This is a safe and gentle treatment and requires no anesthetic or downtime!

What to Expect before FormaV

FormaV treatments can be beneficial for women who experience pelvic floor muscle weakness, urinary incontinence, or vaginal laxity. If you have recently given birth, experienced hormonal changes, or are going through menopause, FormaV may be an effective option for you.

Before your treatment, you will have a consultation with one of our nurses to evaluate your individual needs and to determine if FormaV is the right treatment for you. During this consultation, we will discuss your medical history, current symptoms, and any other concerns you may have. It’s important to avoid using any topical creams or lotions in the area to be treated before your session. Please come clean shaven (no waxing, chemical, or recent laser hair removal).

Once the treatment begins, the wand will gently be inserted intravaginally and slowly rotated to ensure the RF energy is evenly distributed throughout the vaginal walls. The overall procedure time will take about 30 mins. There is no downtime after your treatment. You may experience some swelling, redness, or sensitivity, but these side effects are temporary. It is recommended to avoid sexual intercourse for two days following your treatment.
